The Finely Crafted brand was from a job test back in 2014, I didn't end up taking the job, but I'm still so proud of the work I did. The prompt required a full brand, including logo, basic brand guidelines and a website mockup with home page.
The brand was inspired by old school breweries, and the history of brewing in America. I sourced images from the Library of Congress which are open source. For the hero image, I went to a local brewery in a historic building and photographed the glass of craft beer myself. The logo is superimposed to suggest etching. I utilized a vertical 3-column layout to keep the eye interested, and pull the viewer further into the site as quickly as possible.
The infographic was my addition, as an attempt to impress to land the job.
Which I did.
